Exploring an artist’s philosophy: Daniela Kamiliotis

Entering the world of an artist is like embarking into a fantasy world, lacking the mundane realities of day-to-day. It whisks you away, and for a moment there, you reach an epiphany. Daniela Kamiliotis is no stranger to the sensibilities and intricacies of the artistic realm. Having befriended the paint brush ever since she was five years old, she never stopped since creating and consuming art.

It came as no surprise when Westport storeowners Tom Roth and Robin Levine Babbin, invited Mrs Kamiliotis to adorn their newly opened vintage interior design shop MONTAGE MOderN vinTAGE with her enthralling artwork.

An Executive VP of Women’s collection at Ralph Lauren by day, Daniela wowed the store guests and customers with a diverse palette of paintings: modern abstract pieces, fashion illustrations, nude sketches and ethereal portraits (my favorites!). An endless source of talent and creativity, Daniela has had numerous exhibits throughout the world, and has also showcased her genius expertise in countless costume and set designs projects.

As a novice in this cosmic world of creative souls, I can only hope, and aspire to create, at least a fifth of what Daniela Kamiliotis has.

Until the next time!
