Jade Buddha Temple

Sunday afternoon. We entered the world of Buddhism, strong incense and people praying, in a way I’ve never seen before. They seem to be chasing bad spirits away. Buddhism is not a religion in particular. It represents all Gods. People believe there are three lives, the past, the present, and the future. They light candles for the dead, tie ribbons as wishes and go to temples. They believe in good luck and placing coins on Buddhas. We saw a Buddhist monks prayer ceremony and while exiting, one lady runs after me. She must have followed me around. You haven’t gone to the second floor to see Happy Buddha. You have to rub his belly for good luck. I dutifully went of course. We then bought jasmine and sandal wood incense outside the temple and wouldn’t mind some jade sometime soon.
